Donate a book to help a child be school ready for 2017

Starting school is a milestone in every child’s life.

Unfortunately, one in three children from Australia’s disadvantaged communities are starting school developmentally vulnerable (AEDC 2015). This reduces their chances of successfully transitioning to school. Children who start school behind can get trapped in the cycle of disadvantage.

You can help such children start school ready to maximise the opportunities before them.

Ardoch has pledged to support 1,100 children from disadvantaged communities who are starting school in 2017 with School Readiness Packs. Your book donations and drives can make this happen. We need 4,400 books to meet this pledge and have so far collected 2,400.

Please donate new books so that children can enjoy the thrill of owning a new book for themselves and build their reading skills and love of books. Purchase your book donations from any Robinsons Bookshop and receive 25% off!

If you are running a book drive, download and distribute this poster through your office, school or community group.
