Music Programs

music

Ardoch’s Music Programs include the Guitar Program (weekly guitar lessons for more than 150 students at primary schools in Frankston North, Flemington, North Melbourne and Fawkner) and Harmony in Strings (cello and violin lessons and after-school club for more than 50 students at a school in Fitzroy).

These programs are largely made possible through two long-term supporters of Ardoch who generously give their financial resources and time to ensure these programs operate.

Where we work

For a list of all our current partner schools and early years services, go here.

“The students are really engaged in the program and love taking part in their session. As they share ideas and pieces they develop a sense of ownership of their music learning. They show a greater connection to their instrument and all are excited to work together to create music. When we play music together I see students transform from looking angry and world weary to carefree and peaceful; swept up in the moment. We see the child again.”
