Broadening Horizons Programs

Rich life experiences help children and young people build a broad understanding of the world which in turn impacts their educational outcomes and career aspirations.

Unfortunately, as the 2013 The Smith Family Report (Sport, Culture and the internet: Are Australian children participating?) stated almost half of all children living in Australia’s most disadvantaged communities did not participate in any sport or cultural activities outside of school hours over the last 12 months. In comparison, the non-participation rate was just one in ten for children living in the most advantaged communities.

Ardoch’s Broadening Horizons programs provide children and young people in areas of disadvantage with inspiring learning and life experiences.
