Become a corporate partner

Ardoch is grateful to our corporate partners for enabling us to have a positive impact in school. Our corporate partners play a critical role in helping us to enhance educational outcomes for children in disadvantaged communities right across Australia.

There are several ways your business can partner with us to make a difference – increasing engagement, building aspirations, and enhancing learning outcomes for vulnerable children in Australia.

To learn more about partnering with Ardoch, please contact our experienced Fundraising and Engagement Team on 03 9537 2414 or [email protected].

Workplace volunteering

Provide staff with an enriching experience through one of our workplace volunteering programs. We have a range of opportunities for our corporate partners to support their communities through our core evidence-based programs while also strengthening teamwork, workplace culture and employee engagement. Workplace volunteers are vital to our program delivery and have a positive impact on the educational outcomes of vulnerable children and young people.

Literacy Buddies

Ardoch’s Literacy Buddies® program matches classes of students (Little Buddies) with workplace volunteers (Big Buddies) to improve literacy and inspire learning through the art of letter writing. The buddies exchange letters throughout the school year and visit each other twice, once at the school and once at the workplace.

Numeracy Buddies

Ardoch's Numeracy Buddies program matches classes of students (Little Buddies) with workplace volunteers (Big Buddies) so they can work together to solve maths problems through an online blog. The buddies blog every few weeks and visit each other twice, once at the students’ school and once at the Big Buddies’ workplace.

Pathways beyond school

We also have volunteering opportunities for professionals to share their knowledge and skills through engaging experiences, these include "Industry Visits” and “Learning Through Lunch”. Professional volunteers sit down and talk careers with young people, helping to build aspiration and understanding about future career options.

Program support

Ardoch delivers a range of needs-based programs to schools in communities facing disadvantage. We work to engage students in three key educational streams to provide well-rounded education experiences they may not otherwise have. These include:

  • Literacy support
  • STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) support
  • Broadening Horizons (incursions and excursions)

Organisations interested in giving students these valuable opportunities in any of the three streams can do so without committing workplace volunteers. The delivery of these programs relies on the support of generous funders and includes:

Broadening Horizons

Broadening Horizons’ STEM Programs

Students are given opportunities to engage in a range of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) inquiry activities through science-focused incursions and excursions.

Broadening Horizons Culture, Social and Wellbeing

Students engage in a range of activities that support competencies in wellbeing and physical health, as well as exposing them to cross-cultural experiences.

Workplace fundraising

Fundraising for Ardoch can be a fun, social and rewarding way for your team to make a difference to the lives of thousands of vulnerable children in Australia.

We rely on the support of the community to raise $3 million each year, with more than 90 per cent of our revenue coming from fundraising efforts. Workplace fundraising is a key contributor to our ability to develop and provide impactful education programs and support for schools in disadvantaged communities.

Small to Medium Enterprises (SME)

Not every organisation has a large pool of ready and willing volunteers or the budgets to support the placement of their staff. To address this, Ardoch has developed a volunteering program for Small to Medium Enterprises (SME), providing smaller organisations with opportunities to engage their staff in meaningful volunteering experiences.

Ardoch invites SME partners to join our volunteering pool where we will invite you to provide volunteers to the following programs in various regions, generously funded by philanthropic supporters.

Learning Through Lunch

Learning through Lunch is a hospitality industry visit that involves a class of students attending a fine dining experience and spending quality time with professional volunteers who share their career stories and life experiences.

Industry Visits

Students visit industry workplaces to learn about the skills and training required in sectors with future employment growth. Industries they visit and learn about include retail, hospitality, technology, automotive and the health sector.

Mock Interviews

In preparation for the competitive job market, young people participate in formal interview simulations with professional volunteer mentors, helping to build their communications skills, agility and confidence when interviewing for jobs.

Eligibility

SME volunteering programs are open to organisations with less than 50 staff in total. They are a simple, cost- effective way to provide access to over 50 volunteering opportunities in VIC, NSW and QLD during 2023.
